The James Martin High School Band located in Arlington, TX is an award-winning ensemble that participates in marching band, concert band, and jazz band. Since 1982, the band has played all over the DFW metroplex and has recently expanded their performing outside of the state of Texas. The band traveled to New York City in the spring of 2016 to play at Carnegie Hall. Future goals include other national events such as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Just a few of our achievements include:

  • UIL Division I Rated Marching Band Program for 33 consecutive
  • TMEA All-State band members for 22 consecutive years, Three TMEA All-State band members in 2015
  • Concert Bands – Consistent UIL “Sweepstakes” Award Recipients
  • Concert Bands – 2014/2015 – 67 All City Members, 30 All Region Members, 6 Area Participants – 3 State
  • Color Guard – 2015 – 3 top 2 finishes at North Texas Color Guard contests
  • Marching Band – 2014/2015 Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional Finalist – 6th overall
  • Marching Band – 2013 Bands of America Dallas Regional Finalists
  • Marching Band – 2013 Wylie Invitational Grand Champions
  • Color Guard – 2013 North Texas Color Guard Association Bronze Medalists
  • Indoor Percussion – 2013 NTCA Open Class Silver Medalists
  • Marching Band – 2011 Bands of America Arlington Regional Finalists
